In 2014, I read an article about the gender pay gap in healthcare. Women PAs were earning $10,000 less than their male counterparts. By 2023, that number had not changed much. The reason wasn't a lack of skill — it was a lack of asking and other variabilities.
When I became a travel PA, I interviewed for new positions every 3–6 months. Each conversation was practice. Each contract was a lesson. I learned to walk away from offers that didn't recognize my worth — and that changed everything.
Now I help other PAs do the same. Not with scripts or sales tactics, but with the real knowledge that comes from doing this work, year after year, contract after contract.
